Bug house update

I though I would give you a little update on the bug house. As I'm sure you can see some leaf cutter bees have visited. Upon perusing the garden one morning I found they had nibbled pieces of leaf from the raspberry bushes. I'm very excited I never expected much interest in it to be honest.

Enjoy your day

  2. It's fantastic to see your leaf cutter bees. I keep looking for some here, but they've never discovered my bug house.

    1. Perhaps with me having a small plot they didn't have far to search for it.

  4. I've always wondered whether it's worth putting one of these into the garden - your experience has tempted me and I'll look out for a bargain bee house at the end of the season. Wonderful!

  7. Wonderful - nice to see the bug hotel being utilised - I really must get one. I do have a butterfly hotel but haven't seen it being used yet.

  8. That's brilliant, I had one hanging for years and it was never used by any little beasties.

When we move I am going to set aside a large area as a bug hotel, I can't wait.
