Sunny Saturday

I am feeling rather on top of things, I have nearly caught up on reading & commenting on your lovely blogs. I finished work early yesterday 2pm to be precise & eagerly (well, nearly eagerly) set about dusting, cleaning, washing floors that sort of malarkey to keep the house in order!

Even better after Mike arrived home from work we went food shopping, so that is out of the way.  I sneaked into Thornton's for a couple of presents, a bag of coffee creams for me & a bag of toffees for Mike also found their way into my basket! Mike still has his toffees as he has far more restraint than I ever will have, I practically inhaled my chocolates last night.

Leaving you with some love happy flowers -

A couple of years back I received an email from Flighty asking if I would like some of his home collected Marigold seeds. These particular seeds are known as 'Flightys Favourites' as a lot of you know as you would have received your own supply. I love the generosity amongst the blogging community & these flowers make my heart sing every time I look at them. As always enjoy your day xx

  2. Turkish Delight and Fry's Chocolate Cream are my faves too.! As for Thorntons (made three miles from here) I like Alpini best. Though will eat ALL of the Continental line apart from coffee ones.

    1. A kindred spirit! One of Mikes fiend used to deliver chocolate for Thornton's and we used to get blocks of the stuff, unfortunately he doesn't any more.

  7. Ah, this post had me smiling from the off, Joanne - what a lovely happy read it was! I especially love the glee attached to the housework having been completed! Good job we're not neighbours, I'd be nipping round to yours for some sweets as we like the same ones: coffee creams, turkish delight, etc. How are you on licorice? And, btw, fruit and nut is my fave Cadbury's if ever we meet … ;) xx

    1. Good, I was super excited to finish early & get the housework done, unfortunately I wont be finishing early this Friday. Ohhh that would be fun to be neighbours, we could eat lots of chocolate & sweets together & yes I like licorice. Have you tried Toblerone fruit & nut that's rather nice!

  8. I snorted with laughter at you inhaling your chocolate. Whenever M and I have choccies mine are all gone in seconds while he still has loads left. It is very annoying. xx

    1. Te he, I was rather un ladylike with three pieces of chocolate. They had melted slightly & were stuck together. I couldn't separate them so jammed them into my mouth. Mike still has some toffee left now, after all this time.

  15. Isn't it a wonderful feeling to be in smug mode occasionally when all your jobs are done leaving you some free time to do the things you enjoy. This is sadly lacking in my life at the moment so many things to do (especially at work) and definitely not enough hours to do them. Lovely photo's as always. Hope you have a Sunny Sunday too.
